Creating this phosphor luminescent light bulb incased in acrylic, they have managed to archieve a superb night light which will glow for upto 8 hours in darkness simply by charging in natural daylight.
The Glow Brick gathers solar power during the day and then, as night falls, gradually begins to light up. In a darkened room, it shines an eerie green light and gives the impression that its a bulb suspended in mid-air within the room. Since the Glow Brick doesn't need to be turned on everynight, it makes an empty room look inhabited! A cool solution to security issues, I'm sure you'll agree.
